When looking to keep your batteries charged while your engine is off, solar panels are your best friend when exploring off the grid! If you're looking to use your roof space for storage, AC units, adventure gear, (or MORE solar!), these hood mounted panels allow you to take advantage of the benefits of solar on an unutilized part of your van: your hood! With the combined 80 Watts of power from both panels, this solar kit is great for keeping your batteries topped off while your van is in motion! Designed to wire directly into the electrical underneath your hood, this kit will ensure that your van battery will have a charge after prolonged periods in storage or after a long stay off grid.
These panels mount directly to the hood of your van quickly and easily with 3M VHB tape. Included in the kit is a water resistant MPPT solar charge controller as well as protective vinyl pads to ensure no damage is done to the paint of your hood.
This kit is optimal for batteries mounted below the hood, but will require wire extensions for battery systems mounted in the rear area of the van.
Fits: 2007-2018 Sprinter
Note: Will fit on 2019+ Sprinter hoods but will have a slight gap near the vents near the windshield. Also able to fit on 2016+ Mercedes Metris Vans.
